Shamsi was Ingunn's first saluki. She was a present from Gro B and Per Henriksen when Ingunn was 11 years old, since Ingunn had taken care of their two salukis, African Paradise and El-Shebaras Dathina for six months. She was a very independent girl and ran off as soon as she was able to. She loved food and stole what she could, even though she liked it or not. Shamsi was shown, but rarly did well. 1984 was the first time Ingunn visited Skokloster and there should be many more times. In 1995 Shamsi was among the ten best bitches at Skokloster, under Don Wieden.
